What is the My SimPage feature?
Your SimPage is a place to keep track of things you've uploaded to the Sims Exchange, as well as all of the cool things you've seen that other people have uploaded. Express yourself! Show people that you've noticed their cool creations! Trying to find a Sim you uploaded weeks ago? Go to your SimPage and you can find your Sim as easy as 1-2-3.
What can I do with My SimPage?
Users who own The Sims Deluxe Edition will be able to customize away! You'll be able to change the name of each custom exchange list, link to other users' SimPages, create personalized Top Ten lists for all of the games, track visits to your page with a hit counter and email your SimPage to your friends.
What do I have to do to get my uploaded assets to show up on My SimPage?
Nothing! Through the magic of Maxis technology, whenever you upload something to an Exchange, it will automatically be updated on your SimPage. How cool is that?
Why does My SimPage have banner ads on it?
Non-Deluxe SimPages have banner ads on them to help pay for the traffic. Deluxe My SimPages have no banner ads!
How do I add custom content to a list?
When you see something you're interested in, be it in a search or even if you're just browsing through other Sims, you can click on "Add to my SimList" and the asset will appear on your custom SimList. Only Deluxe users can add custom content to their SimLists.
Using the SimPage administrator, you'll be able to sort the SimLists as you like, provide a custom heading for your lists, offer a description of why you think the items on your list are worth someone downloading and organize your list so that what you think is best is #1 on your page!
How do I rearrange my SimList?
Choose a list to rearrange under "Manage your Custom SimLists", click "Sort This SimList", then click on the asset you want to move. Use the blue up/down arrows to move the asset to whatever spot you want to. Click on the "Finished" button when you're done arranging your list.
How do I add my comments to my SimList?
Choose a list to rearrange under the Manage your Custom SimLists, click Edit This SimList. Here you can add a title to your list and add comments to each asset. Click Submit Changes at the bottom of the page when you are done.
How do I remove something from my SimList?
Choose a list to rearrange under "Manage your Custom SimLists", click "Edit This SimList". Click the "remove" checkbox to the right of the asset you want to remove and then click "Submit changes" at the bottom of the page.
How many of my uploaded assets will My SimPage show?
Your SimPage will show the ten most recent assets you've uploaded in each exchange.
What does "Asset Missing" mean?
Whenever a user removes an asset or updates it, your SimPage will no longer point to it. Using the Admin page, you'll need to remove the asset from the list or point to the new asset. Follow the instructions on how to remove/add content to your SimPage.
How do I get to be a Top 10 Deluxe SimPage?
Anyone can visit and rate your page, and the more people who visit your page, the more likely you are to be in the Top 10. Creating great content and great reviews of other people's content is the way to go!
Why can't I add a SimPage to my SimPage SimList?
Only Deluxe SimPages can be featured in the custom SimLists by Deluxe users. In order to use this feature, you must be a Deluxe registered user.
