The game freezes during the opening video or the video is distorted and choppy. How do I avoid this?

Skip the opening video by editing the shortcut icon on the desktop.

Right-Click on the shortcut and select "Properties"
Select the "Shortcut" tab
Put the cursor at the end of the "Target" line and add -skip_intro after the last quotation mark. Include a space between the quotation mark and the -skip_intro command.
Press "Apply" and then "Close".
Double-Click the shortcut to run the game.
