	Something has caught fire in my house, so why can’t I call the fire department? You can try, but your Sims may be panicky (it’s a tense situation, after all). The best answer is to buy a smoke detector for each room with a fire hazard in it. If the room is fitted with smoke detectors, the fire department will come to the scene automatically.
