How come I can't move or delete desks and tables sometimes? No one's using it, but it still says it's "in use."
This is a bug. It will be corrected in a patch. You can check for the latest patch by going to the Start menu, under Program Files, under Maxis, under The Sims, and choosing "Check for patches."
In the meantime, to remove the object, hit Control-Shift-C to bring up the cheat window. Type "move_objects on". Go to Buy mode. Select the object and hit delete. Hit Control-Shift-C to bring up the cheat window. Type "move_objects off".
